This spring I flew Old Birds for the first time
in several years. I had a lot of fun, but did not spend as much
time training the
pigeons as I would like to have done. We were just too busy with
soccer and our daughter's wedding. We were pleased with
the results anyway. I was still not an official member of the Club
during this season, but have recently been voted into the Club.
Therefore I am showing only the Concourse Results below.
I had a problem with my electronic clock the first week. I set the
clock up early in the day and then the power flickered off.
I did not think to reset it after the power came back on. I lost
about five minutes before I realized that the pigeons were not registering
on the clock when they came in. I have since purchased a UPS (uninterruptable
power supply) to plug my electronic clock into. This has a battery
backup that will keep the power constant on the clock if we have
a power
surge.
I am missing the results from the eighth week at Polson. I am in
the process of trying to obtain them now and will post them when I
can. |
