This is Craig's communication center. Years ago, Carol bought him a cordless phone for the pigeon coop. She and the kids were tired of always having to run the house phone outside to him when he got a call. Craig loves to talk on the phone and he likes to move while he is talking, so the cordless phone allowed him to move around the lofts as he talked instead of being teathered to a wall like a chained dog.

Later we added a couple of intercoms so we could call Craig to tell him it was time to come in from the loft to eat. Now we have intercoms in each loft, in the garage, and upstairs and downstairs in the house. There is no excuse now when Dad wants the kids to come help him with something. They can't say they didn't hear him calling.
