Craig also built a trap door and crating platform here inbetween the two landing platforms. This door opens into the middle section of the loft. When he has the pigeons seperated by cocks and hens, he crates the cocks on one platform and the hens on the other one. This one comes straight out from the loft. The other one needed to turn so that he could get in to water the birds without tripping over it. If there is a problem, Craig will figure out a solution to make it work.

This platform can be folded up so that it takes up less room. That is handy for winter time when he is not training birds. It is easier to keep the snow scraped off the cement and to clean this cement area when the platform is folded up closer to the loft. In this view the end portion has been folded up on top of the inside section.
