The new crates use smaller dowels that are lighter weight. They are a bit smaller than his old crates and the handle is built so that the crate is flat on top so the crates will stack easily.

Another really nice part of his design is that three of these crates lined up end to end, fit perfectly in the bed of his Dodge truck. The crates measure 32" x 16" x 12". Craig fills up six crates with the young birds so he has two rows of three crates in the bed of the truck.
