This is another view from the west side. Here you can see the lower section made of expanded metal. This is an excellent building material. It is strong enough to walk on and strong enough to protect the valuable investment we have in the loft. It would take someone who was very determined and skilled to break into the loft. The expanded metal can't be cut easily like chicken or rabbit wire. We feel like our pigeons are safe from vandalism and that makes us much more comfortable.
